Any tips for a newbie?

Hey so I'm REALLY new to this! I could do with some tips and advice! So far I've used chaterbate and only managed to get about 11 viewers who had no interest in tipping to see anything, I made my tip menu pretty low just to test the waters out but evidently that didn't work, I had another cammer(supposidly) offering me advice(supposidly) but in hind sight I think she was just trying to convince me to do things for free as she said that's what will get me a fan base, but by that point I was bored of literally talking to myself anyway. Should I just keep sitting there not doing anything until I get the tips for whatever?
What's the deal with games and goals, I loved the idea of the lovense toys but then I saw the price of them so that's off the cards at the moment! How can I actually make this successful?

Hard to say like this, might be a number of things. How is the quality of your cam? is the image HD with a smooth FPS, do you have sound, if yes, arent you playing your music too loud so it annoys viewers. How is the lighting, the room etc. You do have to build up a following. And all those things have impact on how fast that will go. Apps and bots for games like roll the dice can persuade viewers to tip, but they still wont if everything else isn't good enough. I would first make sure that the other factors are running smoothly, that you are comfortable with everything, and then worry about the lovense toys and the apps and bots.

Chaturbate can be tough to break into, just because there are soooooo many choices and a lot of models giving it up (even with tips - there are dozens getting it for free). Everything that Royco mentioned is correct, and the best place to start. I think sometimes we forget to check the very basics of our equipment & lighting instead of immediately thinking something is wrong with "me".

Also, in a sea of sooo many choices, think about how you stand out. What is different, unique, different, creative about "me" - what makes people want to spend time with me. Now, keep in mind, we ALL have slow days - it's the nature of the business. It can be a hit to the self esteem if we let it. That is why, for me, THIS site is invaluable. The connection to other models who are all working their hardest to be successful has helped with the isolation of our occupation a great deal. Glad you're here, and stay the course. If this is work you want to do, read through the site reviews here and see if you would fit better on another site, or perhaps having a back up isn't a bad idea. When CB is slow, move to the next site & sometimes it's a lot more profitable.
