Hi there. This tip is for using your cell phone to take pictures. Buy a Bluetooth Remote on Amazon, they are under $10. With a bluetooth remote you can take a picture on your phone from far away with the remote hidden in your hand. The remote connects to your phone and controls your camera shutter. Clicking the button snaps a photo when it's connected to your phone. This helps you take pictures of yourself without having to touch your phone to get the camera to snap. This also works for Snapchat and holding down the button takes a Snapchat video.
I use this to take selfies and self portraits while my phone is resting somewhere nearby. This prevents me from taking shaky pictures and it also allows me to do more - I can stand up, I can be far away from the phone, and more.
Some phones allow you to take a picture by saying something. My phone will take a selfie if I am in the camera mode and say "LG"! So if your phone does that, you can try to get hands free photos that way.
Selfie sticks are cheap and help you use your phone to get pictures with some more distance between you and the camera.
When taking pictures be conscious of the lighting, just like on cam, and have a neat background. If in the bathroom, move your toiletries out of the camera. Even more important is make sure you always take pictures away from personal or revealing items, like anything in your work environment that may reveal your real location. A good example is kitchen magnets from local businesses. Just little things to think about when taking pics. Also, please watermark all of your photos so that the internet knows they belong to you. If anyone steals your pics (it happens), it will have your name/username/website on it.
