Hello, I have been working on setting up the ideal environment for my shows and I would like to get some tips.
One little problem that we have is that, right now, we don't have a lot of bucks to invest!
I always like orange - I know that I look good in it and I get a lot of compliments and all when I wear it! So, I set up a sheet behind me that was orange. Then I wore my blonde wig and a leopard print dress. My husband thinks that we may have blown it by having a pretty vibrantly colored cover over the sofa! (Mixing patterns and all that!)
But he said that one of the things that happened is that a lot of the fine detail seemed to come out of the video. It seemed that the camera was more laggy and all, too.
He is wondering if, the brighter the colors and more solids and all in a video, does it have any bad consequences in regards to seeing the details of the model who is webcamming?
There are lots and lots of video guides for lighting in regards to "regular" videoing - recording video - but do the same rules apply to webcamming?
As an example, I understand that a half hour of videoing a lot of people dancing and moving around - lots of action - will take up far more memory than a video of a person fairly motionless, talking.
Could these bright colors that I was using be taking up so much bandwidth that it is making my video less detailed?
I imagine that this is more technical than a lot of us may know about - but maybe some of you DO know about such things or have, maybe a geeky BF or husband? Or, can just tell me from your experience.
I don't live in a real "developed" country like the US and there may be things that you have easy access to. For instance, I have read about "doing your colors" and think that would be important for this - is there a faster way of figuring out this, if you don't have an expert around to "do your colors", of figuring out the best colors to have in the background and for clothing when webcamming?
