i've been camming on SM for 2.5 years now and up until recently it has been super easy and reliable... i don't really have any other form of income (i'm an illustrator but that doesn't make much money at all), but it's provided me with a fairly nice little lifestyle, normally making somewhere between $2000-3000 a month if i work something like 20 hours a week. i've given sites like cammodeldirectory a go, but i get annoyed with all the timewasters and my computer can't handle all the activity if i'm signed in on skype as well as SM, so i tended to stick with SM where most of the action is.
i don't know whether i'm just panicking and it may just be an ordinary lull in traffic, but it's really felt very slow lately. my income has dropped quite significantly, to the point where it doesn't feel like a livable income! this is particularly bad timing as i'm hoping to emigrate in the next few months. in the past, saving up a couple of thousand pounds wouldn't have been a tricky endeavour, but it just feels really impossible at the moment and it's very disheartening!
so i was wondering if any other models have been experiencing this, and what they did about it? particularly interested to hear from people whose camming is their main source of income! can anybody recommend other sites with reliable traffic? i'm considering giving MFC or chaturbate a go over summer, just to see if they could be a short term solution while i'm trying to save, but i do feel a little intimidated by their very different setups! SM is nice and simple and i make a lot just from chatting, so maybe my personality could get me decent money on a site like MFC (also i've been getting SO bored and grumpy on SM so maybe i need a bit more hustle and action going down!)... but it's just such a different set up.
any tips on shaking up my strategy? i'd really like to get back to my previous earnings... it feels impossible to even make like $500 a week at the moment, which i used to be able to do pretty easily! SM seems to have tried making a few changes lately (also, is it just me or are there WAY more models?) and i just feel a bit like i'm getting left behind by it all!
