Different ways to cover floor for shows?

A lot of the shows I do on cam tend to be on the more messy side at times and I'm always concerned about messing up my carpet. My solution currently is to put a flat, nonfluffy blanket on the ground with a sheet on top of it and it covers like half the room's floor. I cam a few days in a row then take a break and remove it from the floor and wash it.

What are you all doing to protect your floor? Is there an easier and/or more aesthetic, more visually pleasing way to protect the floor? Any recommendations and ideas are greatly appreciated!
