Throughout this forum we all complain about guys asking to meet us, or throwing us money to meet us.
I've replied that part of the problem is that dating or hook-up sites are hosting portals (with their own name and logo) right over to Streamate (but I suspect all sites that offer webmasters a way to make money, do this too.)
So while researching escort portals for an article, I found an active version:
slixa.com has a link to Streamate's 'Free Sex Cams'
eros.com has a link to their Streamate portal, MeetCamModels.com !!!!!
(they have a 2nd SM portal, ErosCams, as well as a MFC's portal too, so they're sending a LOT of guys who are being scammed to think they can actually hook-up with us.)
And you wonder why you occasionally get a guy who is asking to meet you, or talks about throwing money at you to meet. This is why!
It's only one example site. I know I've seen others, but at the time of my post in another recent thread I couldn't locate them. So here you go!
Like it or not, the wonderful UPSIDE to this is, they are sending us traffic, which we can (now that we know what's going on) convert to shows, or even regulars! In a way, being that they're coming from sites where they were going to pay for real sex, these guys aren't against paying for us either =)
Now that you know that it's POSSIBLY not the guys fault, don't just block him. If he's on one of these sites he's obviously got interest, and probably money too because he's already on an escort site toying with the idea of PAYING for actual sex. My tactic is to set him straight that I'm just a webcam playmate, not an escort, and that our contract doesn't allow actual meetings or info exchange. I considering it a quick 'education'. If I'm nice about it, I might actually win a high-roller as a regular.
Hope that helps validate that some of the guys who pester us to meet are actually duped by the site they come over from =(
* Dating site portals, and forum portals, where guys think they're going to meet us for a relationship, those piss me off because they're looking for 'free' relationship sex =p Sadly, we can't tell what site they came over from. But even one of those guys may have money and likes what he sees in our room *wink*
