I don't have fibromyalgia, but I have disabling health conditions that affect me a lot. I often am exhausted with fatigue, or dealing with brain fog or other symptoms. Today for instance, I had a show planned at 5 PM and postponed it until tomorrow because I'm completely wiped out. Went out to see family for an hour today, then went to get my neck worked on at the doctor, and felt dead after. It's hard because the hours when I feel most alive, active, energetic, and OK are hours when my room is totally dead, as in, not even worth being on there. The reason is because if I do go on, it uses all my energy, and it's $0 profit for me. So I try to go on later in the day but not too late, hoping that as I get more financially settled I can invest more in my health treatment to feel better, or invest in the things (technology/equipment, interactive controlled toys, or whatever it may be otherwise) to help me make more money.
Right now I have the bare minimum for camming but I think expanding outside of just camming on camsites can help us. For instance, I don't want to be on cam tonight because I feel dead tired and my neck needs to be rested. But I have already checked out some photo editing apps and tried them out, I am going to play around with OBS software if I feel up to it, and I was being active on Twitter and working on my CamGirlCollective profile. I am looking into content creating and figuring out if there are phone sex/texting sites I could make money on, and also looking into Snapchat again as something I could sell.
In downtime, it's a good idea to brainstorm show ideas, or promotional things to do (raffles, deals on rates, or anything creative), pick out outfits, photograph your toys/outfits to show what people can tip you to wear, you can test lighting and things. Updating social media, networking, chatting on here and reading articles, updating your profiles are all great things to do. If you do have the energy but just don't want to go live, creating content or just working on it little by little is great. I have no idea how to edit video yet so in my downtime I should slowly teach myself how - make a short little clip and use it to learn editing. Sometimes I do photoshoots in my room. It's hard especially when my energy comes in waves, but I just try to make my downtime/tired time as useful as possible by doing behind the scenes work that makes my time on cam more meaningful.
It's so tough to work with a condition that zaps your energy or when you are in pain. I hope you can be well and capitalize on your best hours ♥
Edit: There are sources of passive income, like content selling sites (which need to be promoted), and that is a good way to make money while sleeping. I don't know much about it and want to learn, but I figured I would mention it, maybe there are results via search bar
