Hair color change....advice plz

I have naturally dark blonde hair which I had died black and pink for the last cpl years....well now I want to have it stripped and dyed blonde .... when I called my stylist she said it would take several sittings to do this lightening it in stages taking a couple months...is this true do I have to do this in stages I really would just love to have it done in 1 sitting....is it possible?

PLEASE take your time and do it in several stages. I'm naturally brunette and wanted my hair as blonde as possible because I wanted to dye them pink.

My awful hair stylist back then did it in one sitting. It was really painful. My scalp was screaming red and my hair looked like a mule pissed on my head and felt like straw. Took me 3+ years to grow these corpses out.

Don't make the same mistake.
