having issues with the new skype

HI

my pc forced me to update skype. I did, now I have many problems.

-When I make a call its takes a long time for the other person to see me. Like my webcam starts with delay. No, it's not clients fault. It happens with many people, so its my fault.
- I receive contacts requests days later they were sent. Sometimes people have to send me multiple contact requests before I receive them.
- I can berely hear notification sound when i receive a contact request
- if someone message me on skype but I have another page open like I'm browsing on google, I do not get notified. I only get message notifications if im looking directly at skype.
have you experienced similar issues and how did you fix them?

There have been some glitches on Skype lately. I don't use it for video calls but for messages only with relatives and friends. Notifications are frequently not displayed. Since this doesn't affect me that much, I only let it be fixed by itself.
