How long do you stay on a site before you realize it's a slow day/night?

Ok so I've been signed up with streamate for also half of a year now and I have heard GREAT things about the site. But everytime I get on cam it seems ultra slow for me. Now I know consistency is key to camming and for the most part I have been with this site. But there have been several times where I have been on for hours and have had little to no business (not traffic). Now I usually just give it about two hours if I haven't gotten any pvts/exc and log off.
So my question is do any of you stick it out and work your full camming time (if you have a schedule) or do you just log off when you see it's a slow time?

This too has been My experience with SM. I will sit in My room for hours, while people trickle in. Key word: trickle. Last night was particularly painful - I worked from around 9pm to 4am and made no money, with literally 5 guests having come in My room. I try to stick it out and other times, I log off, diddle, and watch a movie to console Myself,
