Hello everyone , I recently just purchased a desktop & have been having a problem with it. Im able to shutdown my computer without my webcam plugged into it without a problem. Im also able to shutdown my computer multiple times after plugging in my webcam but then eventually it stops shutting properly.

I noticed this evening my desktop would not shutdown. It just stayed at the blue screen that says "shutting down" for over 10 minutes. It then does a crashdump of where it collects data. It also has "DRIVER POWER STATE FAILURE" a little below the very top of the "blue crash dump screen". After that is done it returns to windows with a solution suggestion that doesnt even seem to fix the problem.

I contacted the seller who custom built this computer. He's been extremely very helpful with me. He told me to unplug my webcam & anything else & to leave my keyboard , mouse & my monitor plugged in. After I did this my computer would shut down without a problem without the webcam. The seller suggested I plug my webcam back in & to install the Windows 7 drivers for my Logitech C615 webcam in which I did do. The computer then this time shutdown without a problem multiple times but then eventually started back to doing the same thing of where it would not shut down at the "shutting down screen". I unplugged the webcam again & it started back to shutting down without a problem. Below is 3 of his actual messages:

This particular ""DRIVER POWER STATE FAILURE" error is generally associated with problematic external peripherals. Please remove *everything* you hooked up to the computer except a single monitor, a USB mouse and keyboard. (Remove all devices such as cameras, printers, etc). Then restart and shutdown the computer and see if it still does this.

It's most likely the webcam. You should download the latest Windows 7 x64 drivers from the official website of the camera (Uninstall the existing one if you've already downloaded and installed the wrong driver). Let me know the model and I'll try to find the driver for you. Also make sure the camera is plugged into a black USB 3.0 port instead of a blue USB 3.0 port.

"Please remove the camera and observe it for maybe a day or so (shut down a few times etc). If the problem never occurs without the camera, then I'm afraid the camera is either defective/getting defective, or the particular computer/motherboard just doesn't like the particular camera (happens sometimes), in which case you will probably need to change the camera"

I am using a Logitech C615 webcam & Windows 7 Professional.

Below is my computer :

I also had the seller add a 1TB harddrive , internal wifi & upgrade me to a 550 power supply.

What do you models think the problem could be ?
