These are the ways content gets stolen from indy cammers:
1. They purchase and record your private show, edit it and upload it to their site for profit.
2. They talk you into giving them a free "preview" which they record, edit, and upload to their site for profit.
3. They purchase content you sell on third party sites or clip stores, edit, and upload it to their site for profit.
You can report them all you want for copyright infringement, but bottom line if someone wants you and is willing to go though all that trouble to profit off of you THEY ARE GOING TO DO IT! Here's how to make their job harder (which may deter them from wasting all that effort in the first place).
1. Never tweet or post things that you normally charge for over social media. If you sell nude sets or vids for $20...why are you posting them all over the internet for free?
2. Watermark watermark watermark all stills. Make sure your placement is in an "inconvenient" place that they can't simply crop out like at the bottom of the pic.
3. Use rolling watermarks on vids you create and upload to third parties...these flash your site during random times in your vid. No one want's a vid that is going to draw traffic AWAY from their site and on to yours...they would lose money!
4. Always unplug your cam when you are not live!!
These are the ways content gets stolen from camsite cammers:
You may think that they are going through all the same trouble to get your content as they do with indy cammers...BUT THEY ARE NOT!!! The camsites that you work for take all of the effort out of having to steal and edit it in order to make a decent profit! All major camistes have affiliate programs that allow ANYONE to create a white label as long as they have their own domain and hosting...which most of us know only costs about $15-$20!!! **oh...for those who don't know a white label is basically a camsites way of creating a mirrored site of the content of your choice on to another website.** You don't need any webmaster skills to set this up because the camsite does it for you. YES they can even request YOU to be the highlight of their site, contact the camsite for a custom label, and they will ONLY stream your feed and content. Why do you think you get fined or booted for having your watermark visible on your live feed darling?!
The owner of the white label site gets a percentage of the money generated by the traffic he brings to his site...which is why they will promote your content like crazy...the more hits they get, the more $$$ they make. They can use YOUR IMAGE AND CONTENT to create pop under ads on pornsites of their choosing, or even on social media like facebook, twitter, or tumblr!! NEWSFLASH: There % is NOT coming from the 30% you have already contracted with the camsite for...it comes from the camsites' 70%!!!! **they also get a % of any new models they signup as well** And the camsite hosts bonus programs and contests/prizes on the affiliate side JUST LIKE THEY DO ON THE PERFORMER SIDE!!! Mind you all of this is perfectly legal because of the agreement you signed that allows them to use your image for marketing and promotion. This is a cheap and effective way that major camsites use ALL THE TIME to market their performers. And unfortunately this also includes tube sites that host your content as well ladies and gents.
So...before you get all upset about the system READ YOUR CONTRACT!!!!
