Hi everyone,
I am an older (47) model who started camming in November. I chose Streamate, on the advice of someone who had zero experience in camming, and finally, MFC.
After almost 4 months, I am throwing in the towel and doing something else. I physically and mentally cannot do this anymore.
Was it a failure? No. I got out of my comfort zone, made some memories, and some nights were really lucrative. I am a "milf", so that attracted a lot of younger dudes that couldn't pay (I get it) and would pester me for free stuff. I also do a lot of fetish work, which was fun.
The downside is I have PTSD and anxiety, which REALLY affected me when dudes would put me down. It would make me not want to get on cam for days, affecting my earnings, placement, etc. Also, I got so, so tired of the beggars and freeloaders, spending way too much time and energy on them (lesson learned). I think the final straw was last week, I had a guy post this in free chat on MFC:
"' I'LL GIVE YOU MONEY TO HIT YOURSELF IN THE FACE WITH A BRICK AND THEN DEEPTHROAT THAT BRICK. '
and "WHY IS THAT DUDE WEARING LIPSTICK?" "LOOK AT THAT ADAM's APPLE ON THAT GUY." etc etc. and it got worse from there. That was my FIRST night on MFC. I never got insulted that badly on Streamate, though it has happened in smaller doses. I worked my ass off that night and made $19.00.
Finally, a guy on MFC wanted a 20 minute private show for what amounts in my pocket for $2.50. I refused, and he calls me "BITCH" and that was that.
I wanted to say that this community has been wonderful for learning and support, and I could not have done it without coming here every single day for your support and knowledge. Maybe I will cam every once in a while, but I am taking myself out full time as of this week.
