Is Onlyfans becoming bloated?

You guys think that with how many chicks are making an onlyfans because "lol free money", you think that the market will become bloated with how many girls are doing it?


I mean for me personally, I think its becoming a bit bloated in a sense. What I mean is this, with how fast and well known Onlyfans has gotten over the last year, it's gotten a massive spike in people making accounts to sell nudes, lewds or vids of them getting dicked. In some cases you've got chicks on some dating apps (Tinder, Bumble, OKCupid, etc) advertising their Onlyfans and expecting dudes to sub to it. If it's not an Onlyfans then it's them advertising a premium Snapchat with a Dropbox. I'm all for people having a side hustle but this is starting to become ridiculous.

Oh for sure. There are some models who I've been following a long time (camgirls mainly), and over the past year or so I've definitely felt an increasingly desperate energy from their advertising tactics as they've had to deal with an increasing amount of competition. Porn was already a bloated field, and it's become even more bloated now that selling your own content is even more accessible.

Thing is, I feel like bloat benefits the consumer in the long run. To compare it to a couple other industries I follow, the indie video game and board game scenes have also exploded in popularity the past few years now that platforms like Kickstarter exist. With the bigger talent pool there are absolute mountains of shovelware out there, but there are also a lot of gems that wouldn't have been possible 15 years ago. With Onlyfans, there are now women putting out great content who I never would have expected to start doing nudes. Bloat happens because the traditional gatekeepers are gone, so it's up to the consumer to become the gatekeeper and do their own research. Honestly I think that's a fair price to pay.
