New Cam Room

My GF has been camming for some time and she wants to start to increase her profitably but maintain the same hours. She currently does not have the camera and equipment she needs to build a larger clientele base. That really is not the issue for why I'm writing. We are making the spare bedroom in to her cam room. I have done the research on all the best webcams, lights, and so forth but what I'm having issues with is the best most comfortable furniture to buy for the room. Ladies, what I would like to know is, what you have found to be the best places to work? Is it in the traditional bed, Papason Chair, Floor, computer chair, Bean Bag, etc. Please let me know what you have found to give you the best "angles" but not hinder your operations of the computer or your "work" Thanks

Personally, I like working from a good sturdy office chair with a back that reclines, adjustable arms (went to a used office supply company & bought a $1000 chair for $100, rather than buying a piece-o-crap cheesy chair from Staples, etc.) I work from a desk with the bed behind me. That way I stand up, parade around when required to roleplay or model, use the bed as requested, and sit for extended periods of time when the site is slow.

I don't know how girls do it laying or sitting on a bed all day. My legs & back would be killing me, being propped up on my arms would become numb after a while. But then, the young don't have those problems =)

One reason I like sitting in my office chair is because I don't show anything in free chat. If someone wants an intimate time with me, then we're in private. Sitting in an office chair makes it easy to control what guys see, plus, more importantly, I can see what they write to me AND I MUST see my notes - which on Streamate are in a minuscule font! I must be near the monitor to see them, and my very successful business is built on keeping notes on ALL my customers shows (I don't do Gold Shows.... my sessions are very personalized)

So that's one opinion =)
Hope that helps!

This may be helpful too.
If this room is dedicated to camming, so you don't need to break down every day to 'sanitize' it from prying judgmental eyes, then I have a few other suggestions for how I keep my room.

I'm a fetish & roleplay model. I planned my room so that all that stuff is at arms reach so I never have to leave my chair to prove to a guy that, "yes, I do have black thigh high stockings & a white satin bra & panty". I just reach off cam to my 'Dollar Tree' plastic baskets, each holds a different collection of the stockings, satin panties, thongs, gloves, sox, or whatever he's asking for. I've found having the items at arms reach helpful in 2 ways. #1 Some guys just like asking you for things to jerk you around, never intending to take you private. They just want the thrill of making you do something without paying, or looking at your body while you're walking to & from the cam to go get the items. By casually having the item next to me kind of kills the thrill (I presume =) since I'm not doing anything out of the ordinary to get the items. #2 and more importantly, it allows me to never have any 'dead air' while on cam. If we're not in a paid session, then we're moving further down the page away from the top rows. If I'm in the other room, or my head in the closet looking for something, then time is wasting.... and I'm moving down the page. Having items at arms reach means there's no downtime. Because my room is dedicated to camming (and selling on eBay, which explains to my landlord why I have so much clothing =) I am able to leave all this important fetish stuff there, day in, day out.

Also on the walls on either side of my desk I have CLEAR over the door shoe holders. The kind with all the pockets (available at Walmart for about $10 each). Instead of using the over-door hooks, I've used nails & hung one of these on each side of the desk. One holds shoes (big request on cam) and the other smaller fetish items like duct tape, balloons, glasses, lollipops, bubble gum, miniature cars & trucks for giantess shows, stuff like that.

The desk drawers themselves hold my most requested items & camming supplies. Vibes & replacement batteries (gotta have replacements!) cigarettes, ashtray, matches & lighter (has anyone else had the 'stick match lighting guy'?), strap-on, and all the other more common requests.

The top of my desk has my giant 34 oz pump bottle of Passions Natural Water Based Lube and a small flat dish to have some lube at the ready. A girls always got to look shiny, wet and ready for a good thrashin'. Ha ha ha!

And you might want a spindle of paper towels tucked away off cam. They're quite a necessity.

HELPFUL TIP for those models who don't have the luxury of a dedicated camming room to store your stuff, before getting up from your seat to go find the requested fetish/roleplay outfit or item, ask them to send you some gold, to show they're serious about taking a show with you! I still that to this day, for those odd-ball items I don't have in the room with me. If they won't tip you $2-$5 (or more!) in pre-show, they're unlikely to take you into private once you return.
