Premium VS. Freemium

Hello again, all!

Everyone has been super helpful on here so far and I appreciate all of you! So I'm back with another question.

I have been streaming for the last week or so on Stripchat. I just recently signed up to try out Streamate but haven't streamed with them yet.

My question is, in your opinion, which is better? Token sites or premium sites? Also, I'm a bit nervous to try Streamate because I'm not sure exactly how to behave on a premium site. I'm slowly getting used to the token sites and kind of know what's expected with them. Are there different expectations on premium sites? Are the expectations different for free chat VS. Premium chat VS. Exclusive chat? I typically watch other model's streams for an idea of what to expect but I can't exactly do that when I have to pay to see the premium and exclusive chats on SM.

With the exception to the rules of the site, you run your room anyway you see fit. You do whatever you want to do in private or exclusive or free chat, you set the expectations. There is no 1 rule for how to be, act and what to do, you as an individual need to set those rules for yourself.

Token sites work really well for some and not others. I was strictly token site based for my first 3ish years camming. For me, it was a lot of work for not enough payoff. I'd stream 5-6 hours straight, 5+ days per week and be completely burned out by the end of the week. It was a high energy hard hustle for me. I couldn't stand the guys who would show up almost daily and never contribute or contribute a small amount once and never spend another dime, yet expect special treatment from me every single time I was online.

Token sites just got old for me and after 3 years my income was not increasing by much, so I switched to streamate and doing indie shows. My income increased substantially within about 3 months. I have fewer lurkers & even though I deal with fewer people on a day to day basis, a higher percentage of them are spending money. My regulars are there for paid shows, not banking on someone else carrying the room. If they want to chit chat more than a normal amount of pleasantries, they know they are going to have to pay for it. I can live stream fewer hours and still make more which is awesome.

Again, for some models token sites are a good fit, but for me they just weren't.
