Hi everyone! I've been camming on Chaturbate since mid January. It's a long story, but I am on paid leave from a job and took this up as something fun to do. Now I love it so much I am trying to transition *at some point* to it being my real job.
I'm in my 40s and a curvy BBW. I contacted another model on Chaturbate who is my age and body build and she is mentoring me. She's been camming 3 years. She has over 400,000 followers on CB. She also sells videos on ManyVids. She told me last year she made $130,000 US.
I am gaining about 1500 followers a week. Currently I'm just under 9000. I've been on the front page several times and last night I was in the top 10.
The money isn't amazing yet, but it is creeping up. Last 2 week period was about $900US and this 2 week period is looking to be the same.
I have regulars for sure. They're mostly not high tippers but they are extremely consistent tippers. I get one private show or more maybe every other day.
I have a few videos and picture sets for sale on Chaturbate. I sell a few, but not a lot. I am selling Snapchat and Kik subscriptions, and I've got 6 dudes that paid for that. They often come online and tip too.
I am not trying to brag, I swear I'm not that kind of person, but I have very little to compare to so I'm trying to figure out how I'm doing compared to other people.
Honestly, I think I'm doing really well, maybe better than average, but I have no idea what "normal" is for beginning cam models. Is this average or better than average?
My true feeling is that in 6 months I might be up to $2000/week. Do you think that's delusional?
I see a lot of talk around here about good sites vs. bad sites, and different ways of marketing yourselves, but frankly I don't know how much is "average" to make once you're established working full time.
If this is hella rude to ask this kind of thing I apologize in advance. Like I said, other than my mentor I don't know anyone else doing this that I can ask.
