Skype Newbie

Never been a big Skype user. Rarely even turn it on.
Doing indy shows seemed like too much trouble.
But now I've gathered a few regulars who I have done Skype shows with and I'm looking for something that can give me cash to pay bills, rather than Amazon credits.

Now that I'm attempting to figure out SkyPrivate, I'm feeling overwhelmed about Skype!
Guys are contacting me, but they don't say they're FROM SkyPrivate. I suspect most are just trolls.

What's the best thing to reply to guys who simply ask you to add them to my contacts?
Would sending them a link to SP be the best route?
-- then, if they do join & fund at SP, how do I know they really did it?
-- Or without an intro about why they're contacting you, do you just decline them?

On Skype, I don't see any way to add more contact info than their Skype name.
As your contact list grows, do you make notes about your Skype custies.... who they are & how they know you? If so, how? I don't need a lot of notes, just something to trigger my memory about something as important as what to call them (rather than Diablo69)! I'm not finding an actual 'contact' form or file on Skype =p That seems crazy-stupid for a platform that's been around for 10 years!!!!

IMHO the Skype platform sucks. It's impractical & not at all business friendly. Models are using it though, so I know there must be a way.

If you have any secrets for working with Skype, labeling your custies, or other helpful Skype hints, I'd love to hear them!

I was looking a lot skyprivate and something didnt like me at all.
I dont registered with they.
For me is hired the company for promote me, have my TW account, and of course regular users.

Hey Joy! Welcome to the mad, mad world of Skype shows! I also had not been a Skype user before camming. I didn't even have it on my computer.

You have been camming much longer than I so it feels odd giving you advice but I think I can answer most of your questions.

IMO, Skyprivate is useless. Their support was awful and the issues seem to be endless. Too much headache for me, I stick to CMD and a few others like that.
It's impossible to tell the serious guys from the trolls right off the bat. A lot of them won't click through whatever site profile your Skype ID is listed on but will just go to their Skype and search you directly. That's why you're not getting the automated "I found you on Skyprivate and want to add you to my contacts" message that the sites generate. I find it helpful to have some verbiage in a notepad so I can just copy and paste to them when they send me the add request. I ask them first which site did they find me on and once they answer that I ask what can I do for them tonight? It's mildly annoying but you get used to it. I definitely would not ignore all the ones who don't say off the bat where they found you, would not want to miss out on business!
I rename (right click on their name, the option is near the bottom of the menu that comes up) all my Skype contacts with some basic info such as which site they came from, how they like to be addressed, key notes about the shows, etc. So all my Skype names look like "Bob Smith, CMD, fingering, belly play, say I like to watch him" That's enough for me at this point, I'm only doing 1-5 shows a day and quite a few of them are repeats. I guess if you want to keep detailed notes you could use the notes feature here or make a spreadsheet or something. Or maybe Skyprivate has some feature hidden somewhere?
It's funny how each of us have such different perspectives. To me, sitting on cam sites for hours is too much trouble and Skype shows are where it's at! I hope it will work out for you, I'm sure the other more experienced gals can chime in with some tips
