1. Go into your "My Profile" section
2. Choose the "Settings and Privacy" tab
3. Click in the box under the "Banned Countries" and then the list of countries in alphabetic order will show up as a drop-down menu
4. After choosing "United States" click inside the box again to close the menu.
5. Then you will see two radio buttons with "All" or "Only following" to choose from.
6. To choose a state click on the "Only following" radio button.
7. Click inside the box under "Only following" for the drop-down menu of states to appear. You can choose multiple states one by one and they will appear in the box.
8. Click on the "Save" button right underneath the box to save your changes.
