Talking vs Typing - tricks to maximize income on PPM sites

Do you prefer to talk or type more in freechat? I'm on SM and talk to clients 99% of the time because typing is more work for me. My general strategy is giving members my undivided attention (no cell phone/keyboarding) and constant verbal chat (responding to their chat) with lots of eye contact. This seems to work pretty well and keeps business steady until there is a lul and I have to remind ppl I'm there to go private. Recently I've noticed that if I single out a member to PM when it gets slow, I usually will get a private or exclusive from another member quickly. Has anyone else noticed this pattern? Its been a nice psychological trick...guys like getting your full attention and as long as they have that they will sit in freechat to see what happens next. As soon as I withdraw my attention from the entire room and focus on one person (usually I will say something flirty like "I'd love to tell you in private because I'm not sure the rest of the room can handle it....here, I'll type it to ya..." Then I grab my wireless keyboard and usually within a minute or two will be in a paid chat session with the guy who was sitting there...waiting...considering...then decided he didn't want to watch me type to a guy that's not him.
