Twitter Etiquette

I'm just wondering how everyone else handles all their Twitter traffic. I try to respond to all RTs, comments, etc. but I get soooo fed up with constant DMing from guys that just want to "get to know" one another or try to get free pics/shows/etc.

Do you all respond to DMs? Do you respond to all comments and RTs? How do you decide who to follow?

My system is ok for now, just curious about what others do.
