using mobile phone as a hotspot to cam on laptop

I ran a test using my mobile phone as my hotspot for running cam on my laptop. the speeds on 4g were optimal, better than my dsl by leaps and bounds. the problem is I have limited data. I do not know how much data I would use if i did this. Does anyone use their mobiles for this and can you give me an idea of the amount of data that is used. If it is a reasonable amount I might be able to use my phone. If it is not I might need to see if my area has a provider that offers unlimited.

my internet. I am paying for the extreme 6.0 but running the speeds of extreme, cause i am the end of the line. I have no other options for an internet provider
