I'm in the middle of making a new website and one of the things that attracted me to my host was that I got a free month of a 1800 number... so I finally got around to doing more research into it.
It's through VoIP Services by VOIPO and it's basically a redirection service to your cell/home phone. I decided to pay $36.00 for 1 year instead of the monthly fee. I already have business cards printed with a BOGO offer printed on the back with my phone number so now I can get new ones with my website and this redirection number and not have my personal number floating around and be able to put a real phone number on my website.
The cool thing with this is unlike registering domain names, when you register your phone number, it doesn't catalog your identity for creepers to look up. So you don't have to worry about buying extra services to cover your tracks.
