I was watching one of Elizabeth Zaks 10 second videos from her Onlyfans the other day and wondered why the hell would anyone pay money for a 10 second video of a girl jiggling her ass? Zaks is FIRE . . . but come on now! I know this is a long standing question when it comes to Onlyfans but the whole phenomenon is quite head scratching when you consider how people mostly stopped paying for studio porn a long time ago but are more then eager to shell money for Onlyfans content. Is it the alleged exclusivity that draws so many guys in? What do you think?

Wanting to see what you otherwise can't is definitely part of it, as well as the sense that there's some kind of personal connection -- and that's a crucial part of the most successful porn, crafting a feeling of intimacy between performer and audience. But I think there's something great about paying performers directly. While the cut from places like OnlyFans is not insignificant, most of the money the audience pays goes into the pocket of the performer, instead of being filtered through dozens of other predatory wallets first. The performer also decides what they want to do and when they want to do it, they have control over their image; it basically eliminates the possibility for exploitation. The porn industry is rife with abuse (as much as we might trick ourselves into thinking otherwise) and when performers control all of their content through direct payments from their audience, it eliminates that abuse.
