Advice for Goldshows?

I just got approved to do gold shows on SM, and was wondering....what should I set my goal at? I had it at $250 with a $3 buy in, but barely anyone bought in. I planned on doing to Gold Shows but seeing as how the first one was an epic fail, I couldn't see the point of trying again. Am I doing something wrong? I had alot of people in and out of my room during the countdown, but only 6 bought in. Any advice girls and guys? Thanks in advance!
