Alright, so I'm slowly preparing to get back on cam, but since I have moved to where I currently live, I have found an issue with the internet connection.. It has a bad habbit of turning itself off, for the most part several times a day. It's a WIFI-connection, and since I live in a shared house with other people, I can't connect my laptop to the model directly and of course there is no way for me to run naked through the house to restart it whenever it decides to quit on me while I'm on cam.
SO, I am looking into buying a dongle or something to use for camming and have been looking around a bit online.. Since it would only be for camming, I decided to get a "pay as you go"-subscription, to save money, but as I am looking at the various offers, I begin to wonder if it really will be a cheap option..
I mean, they all state that you have some sort of "allowance" of data and if you use more than that, you will obviously have to pay extra. I would assume that streaming a cam for several hours a day would require alot of data, but I have no idea how much. Anyone know if there is anyway to check how much data it would take (without buying the modem and observing how long it would take before it shuts off) or for that matter; anyone who has any idea of how much data it is on average?
When it comes to this technological stuff, I have about as much knowledge as a cave man (I bought a Blackberry in January, and I still haven't figured out how the damn thing works.. haha),
