Best Camera/Camcorder for Custom Videos

Hey guys,

What's the best camera or camcorder you are using or know someone is using to shoot custom videos.

Not something with interchangeable lens, but something really simple to use that I don't have to worry about the focus or anything and has cinema quality.
To shoot at close and medium range.

I use my Logitech 920 webcam, it shoots in HD, looks great, and super easy to use. The one thing I don't like is that you can hear a faint clicking when it focuses.

I also have a Sony HD camcorder that works very well.
