If you don't know what bitcoin is, its a digital currency that can be sent to and from people online. Like webmoney and other services. You can create an online "wallet" with many websites to accept bitcoin and then eventually link your bank account to a bitcoin exchange and sell your bitcoins and get cash deposited direct to your bank account. I believe they even offer debit cards now a days that you can use as you normally would to purchase goods or withdraw cash right from your bitcoin wallets.
With that being said. Im curious how many performers would use bitcoin as a type of payment or if they think its a great idea to offer bitcoin to customers and performers to purchase "credits" or for models to be paid out faster and easier with less fees. (Almost instant) We've been throwing the idea around about trying to implement bitcoin and other possible Alt currencies.
Tristan are you familiar with bitcoin or implementing this at all? or anyone here on the forums? Might have to take this over to some of the bigger bitcoin talk forums and get some help with tryign to implement it. I think it will also corner a big part of bitcoin customers that may be less inclined to purchase credits with their credit cards but have bitcoins. Just a thought. Please give some feedback, thanks!
