Looking your best when you're hosting live sessions is parallel to your success as a webcam model. When you make a connection with a member he's going to spend time and money in your live session.

Follow these tips to look like a pro! Make those important connections with members and more money!

1. Don't worry, be happy: Show members how fun and friendly you are. Members spend money with models who have an attractive personality. Avoid being negative and critical.

2. Camera angles: Situate your camera so that it is slightly above eye level and facing you. This will avoid double-chin shots and when you're reading chat it will still look like you're making eye contact.

3. Zoom levels: Play around with your zoom until you find something that is most flattering for you. Consider that you might be moving around during your session so select a setting that will result in little adjustment as you perform your show.

4. Lighting: It doesn't have to be complicated, just use plenty of light. Put a lamp behind your camera so that your face is well lit. Make sure you're not backlit. The light should be in front of you. Don't have a plain white wall and an open window (or other light source) behind you.

5. Appearance: Before starting your session fix your hair, makeup, and wear attractive clothing. Take pride in the way you look.

6. Camera quality: If your webcam looks grainy no matter how much you adjust your lighting, you may need to invest in a new one. We recommend the Logitech ConferenceCam for $250. In addition to a clear picture, it has a remote control and great microphone. There are other less expensive options that are under $100, such as the Logitech c920 that will work well.

7. Background: Be mindful of what's behind you. If your camera angle is too low, members will see more of your ceiling and wall then they'll see of you. Also, make sure your background is flattering and not distracting. A white wall is not flattering. Members want to focus on you, not your pile of dirty laundry. Make sure your background is uncluttered.

8. Create a comfortable work-space: Turn an area of your home into your videochat space. Everyone who works form home needs a comfortable and pleasant area so they can focus on their job. Your videochat space should give you the flexibility to perform your show comfortably and also be inviting and sexy for members.

9. Internet speed: You can host reliably with as little as 256kbps of upload speed. For the best quality video, we recommend 1mbps upload speed. A good rule of thumb with bandwidth, the more the better! Do not host from a wireless connection.

10. Avoid splitcam software: Splitcam software is the number one cause of poor video quality. It drains your bandwidth resulting in video that is choppy, lagging, and freezes.

Hope these tips help!
