I have been in this industry 13 years and I believe that we all have to help each other in order to succeed ourselves. This is a warning to all cammers who are looking to expand their options instead of only using one cam site because that one site will inevitably be wonky from time to time and it is smart to have a back up plan.
Several months ago I had another cam lady suggest I try CamStarPlus.com (ChatTimeNow.com) I spent a lot of time looking into the site and it appeared to be legit.
CamStarPlus.com --> the models login
ChatTimeNow.com --> the viewers login
I was approved on a Monday, worked the site for a couple of afternoons and then I received a mass email informing me that the site is looking for serious cam ladies who work for studios and not a hobbyist like myself. I was baffled and thought it was spam because the email address it was sent from was not from any cam site I work. Later that day I tried to sign into CamStarPlus and was told my un/pw does not exist. I immediately touched base with 2 ladies who also work on the site and one was fired and the other was not. The two of us that were fired were both actively working the site, but the 1 that was not had not signed in for weeks. That, in itself, was baffling. Two months later the 1 that was saved had started working the site again and she was promptly fired.
There are 4 of us, that I am aware of, that were fired and two of us have not been paid. I have emailed every single address (they have several), contacted all of their social media accounts and no one has responded to me. They do, however, continue to spam my email with promotions on trying to get me to work their cam site.
I do not have proof, but I believe that it is a fellow cam lady who is scamming us. That is right, one of our own. She contacts one person, gets that lady signed up, then that lady reaches out to her contacts and gets us all to sign up. It gets worse. The cam site has almost no traffic, so you have to bring your own clients in order to get shows, but the payout is so generous that it is easy to ignore the red flags. Once you have a good flow of sign ups and are making money, the site fires you, keeping your joins and taking 100% of the earnings.
Also, they still show us as active performers on their site, ignoring all of our requests for them to delete our profiles.
I have to admit, this is the first time I have been scammed, and because I believe we should all look out for one another, I am taking the time to spread the word... do not make the mistake and join this cam site.
