Creating your own Brand Mobile App?

've seen several different SWers streamline all of their content & products onto their own personal website, as opposed to selling on different platforms. I love this idea, and I'm working on this as well. A place to sell my art, subscriptions, clothing, and kinkier options lol

But I don't think I've ever seen any SWers create their own mobile app. Is there a reason for this? Is this an untapped business opportunity, or is this not a new idea? Please let me know if you know anything about this topic

to hard to keep a app running .. if you think doing it serious you need 2 apps .. one for ios & one for andriod .. then you have to find a way to distribute the app .. sex work related apps are not allowed in apple and i am sure that google will have also a problem with that .. so you need a website for your customers to download the app - and they have to allow third party software for their android - on iphones it needs more work to get that app running.
then you have to keep up with updates and bugs .. that is a lot of work.

thats maybe something for a top camworker with 500k+ followers.

way more easier is just to have your webpage mobile friendly (responsive design) .. so you have just one place to manage and everybody with browser on his mobile can access.
