Because I was cheated at c2c on the streamate-plattform, I decided to search for other reports and found some threads here in this forum. But they are closed for new answers, so I have to open a new one to write you, what I have experienced.
I found a nice girl and, although there were some "abnormal" things, I wanted to chat with her. Abnormal means: Over several days, the cam preview looked quite similar. She had different clothes, but the outfits repeated regulary. And also her behaviour was not very diversified and the transmission broke quite often. Also there were unnatural cuts in the motion of the girl.
So I talked to her in open chat first. It was a little bit strange that her movements did not fit to her writings. But I was blind and so I decided to go private with her. But this session broke again and she meant, she had technical problems from time to time. But what I saw was a 1 to 1 copy of the first part. The same movements, the same gestures. The chat itself was written by a human, I think.
So I ended the chat and contacted the support. I described what happened and said, that I can prove the fraud (I really can). Without asking for it, the support told me that I would get my money back. The support avoided to say anything that could be used against them.
They removed the cam from the search function. You only could access her, when you know the address. So I watched from time to time, if the cam is still active. And it was. Nearly daily, always at similar times. But the cam(girl) blocks my account, so I can enter only anonymously.
A few days ago I found a new user comment. That guy also mentioned, that the chat ended unexpectedly. Yesterday I was bored a little bit, so I entered the chat and waited for other potential victims. If one began to chat with her (or whoever is doing the real chat) I warned him. In addition to that I found two other cams, which were online at the same time. Both used the same location as the first one. This is quite stupid. 3 single cam girls online at the same time, sitting in front of the same window and wall. Only the window blind was in different positions.
So I contacted the support again (same supporter?) and told about that fake cams. The supporter thanked me (in a few words) and was not willing to discuss that any further. The cams went offline after that. But if I search for them, the last two still can be found over the search function and the first is also still there, if you know the address. My user account is blocked at all three cams, so I think it is the same guy behind that cams.
After I got cheated I looked for that girl at other places. So I know her real name and also her social accounts. Her videos must be at least one year old. She changed her style and also has tattoos since a long time, that she does not have at the cam. I still plan to write her and want to ask her if she knows what is going on with her videos. She is not a well-known cam or porn girl. Her social media profiles look like quite normal (party, vacation, study?). Before I found the other two cams, I thought, she could be cheated, too. Maybe her vids were stolen. But since there are at least two other girls with recorded vids at the same location, I think, that someone hired them for a few records.
So as mentioned in other threads, streamate does not fight these fakes consequently. I can't imagine, that this is good for their reputation. But on the other hand, as long as there is enough income, it doesn't matter. I am more carefull now, use other plattforms and make sure, that I really talk to the person I see.
If there is any need, then I can write the three fake cams I found.
