Google Hangouts/Voice instead of Skype?

I have a Chromebook and have read a few tutorials on how to install Ubuntu/Linux to get around the "desktop"ness needed to run Skype, however I was wondering if any of you girls/guys have tried using Google Hangouts or Voice instead of Skype, or a separate phone using Wifi only for phone sex? I've been trying to see if I can do everything (voice/sexting) on my extra Android phone through Wifi (it also has Skype on it) while using my Chromebook for bookings and actually doing the bookings, but I'm just wondering if any y'all have experience with this? I've read more than a few posts about Skyping but haven't really found anything on Google+/Hangouts/Voice etc. Any information one way or another (bc Skyping kinda skeetches me out at the moment) would be super helpful - I've had more than a few customers say they'd Skype and even had a fellow girl offer me her two bookings along with a $15 Amazon giftcard. So it's something I think I should definitely consider along with camming at the major sites like MFC, which hasn't been giving me the best of tips lately.

ADDENDUM: I was fooling around with Google Hangouts and it has an app/extension called Uberconference, which gives you your own URL, conference phone number, PIN to access it, and the regular video Hangouts URL. Does this sound like something I could utilize to my benefit for my intended usage of Google Hangouts? It sounds like a more private, exclusive way of guys to "Skype" with you using Hangouts to me, plus a free phone number for them to contact you with. Just curious about it all and want to get any opinions or thoughts on any of it
