Has anyone been stood up by a potential employer?

So about a week or two ago, I was accepted to a modeling site (I won't name them just yet because I need to verify still) and started training. After a week of calling, leaving voicemails, and sending emails without getting a reply from the people I spoke to (or anyone), I'm starting to get a bit discouraged and at a loss on what to do. Has anyone ever dealt with this or have suggestions to get them to hold up their end of the deal?

Yes, this happen often but you need to just forget about these people and move on to the next site. In this industry, many new companies are ran by flakes and other scumbags. You can write an negative review on the wall here...warning everyone. Don't worry there are plenty of companies who would want you.
