The majority of performers who have their own website built it from scratch (with maybe some minor assistance from someone else), but what about when someone else is building it for you and you have no input at all (except providing them with the pics and videos to add to your website)?
Im just curious as to things I should be thinking about and questioning. Theres no contract/T&C's at this point - we are still in talk about this because this is a new project for him and his team - but what things should I bare in mind when that time comes? Or even things I should be thinking about right now? This is all new for me so any advise would be grateful.
Copyrights
The designer has told me that he will be hiring a lawyer and feels its best that I grant him the copyright to my video content. He said the lawyer will be searching porn sites just in case my videos are leaked on there, but this isnt a lawyers role ie to look on porn sites lmfao.
My videos will not be downloadable - members will have to pay "kisses" (credits, tokens) but they will bare a watermark on them (and they will have music playing in the background )
My pictures will bare a watermark on them too (in my middle so no fear of people trying to crop it out hehe) but of course, pics will be downloadable.
He has stated that his intentions only are to keep the videos on the site because they make a % when someone pays to watch it. He has no intentions of placing them on any other site, hence the lawyer being involved.
Commission
The designer is offering everything for free - editing pics, my own merchant (I believe we are going to go with CCBill and Zombaio) etc - only catch is that he takes a lifetime of my earnings so I guess in some respect, Im paying for the cost of the site in small increments (by his percentage of my earnings). Again, we are still in talk about the appropriate % but Ive suggested 2-5% (this is AFTER the merchants fee of 10-15%)
Have I missed anything else?
