Help! Broadcasting in HD??

I was dumb and thought to myself, "Well, if I want my broadcast to be HD, I need an HD cam."
I got an HD cam.
I then thought, "My cam is HD and my video is HD now, but my wifi does not connect well, so my video keeps lagging/disconnecting. I'll buy a very expensive wifi adapter that plugs into my laptop. That should fix the problem."
Then, when that didn't work, I finally did some research.
The reason my cam was lagging/disconnecting was NOT ONLY the wifi, but also BECAUSE OF THE NEW CAM. It was HD, so I had to select the option of broadcasting in a "higher resolution" for the website I work for (Chaturbate) to display to everyone that I am in HD.
Ughhhhhhh...
I did more research.
Everyone says that your RAM on your computer MUST BE above 4GB (which is the standard for all laptops to have normally, the moment you buy them). I have 4 GB. To get 8 GB, I have to pay $150 (based on my laptop brand and model). I couldn't help thinking, "I really don't want to spend $150 on something that might not work just like the other 2 things haven't helped."
So I did more research.
Apparently, the best way to broadcast in HD is to have your laptop connected directly to your internet (as in plugged in and not using wifi).
Well, I can't do that. I live in a large house with roommates and the internet modem is in another person's room.
Another thing I learned is that you have to have as many applications on your laptop closed and not running in the background. Still have not figured out how to do that...
The final thing I learned was by calling my roommate's internet provider. It hasn't been working for almost 2 weeks and it doesn't even "report" to them that it is working and on. What I mean is, the internet provider company has a machine that sends out a signal to your internet and then your internet modem responds to their machine to show that it is on, working, and stable. For some UNKNOWN reason (according to the customer service lady), our modem doesn't even show up on their computers as "on, working, and stable" AT ALL. How did they NOT call us about that? Anyway, as far as I know, it's not fixed, but hopefully I can figure it out by tomorrow and have that out of the way.
Even if I do though, I know that the wifi is not the only problem.

I just want to know the exact steps YOU take to broadcast in HD.
Why? Because I get way more customers and way more tips when I am in HD (I did manage 1 DAY of successful HD broadcasting with just the cam, but it kept disconnecting and annoying everyone, so they would leave).

MY QUESTION: If you broadcast in HD without lagging, please tell me exactly what YOU do, personally, so that I can see if I have any hopes of doing this right now, or if I have to wait another 5 months when I can move into my own apartment.
Let me know!
Thanks!

What are the specs of your system?

I have 12gb of ram in my laptop, have 500mbps download and 150mbps upload speed and still cant broadcast in HD, streaming is very processor intensive, so that's where I have narrowed down my issue to. Unfortunately since I was travelling a lot before I started camming i switched my desktop for a laptop which means the only solution to my issue to to either build a new desktop or buy a new laptop.
