I really need some honest opinions and some real life feed back to figure out what I'm about to do next :/. Please bear with the long post lol
So around last year, I decided where I was going to school and what I was studying wasn't something I was happy with and made a switch. This switch was to a private college that was about twice as expensive as the current university I was attending...and I also told my parents that I was going to pay for it on my own since I'd be going to school for another 4 years. It's a big financial toll on them since they're able to retire in 2-3 years.
I told an old friend I've known for a few years about my situation and he tells me that he might be able to get me an interview with someone he used to work before at a firm in my city. A little desperate and frazzled with the whole situation, I said yes. Got a call from this guy at the firm, hit it off, and he said "okay, you got the job." I was excited, it was literally a dream come true and everything would be paid off. $20 an hour, they reimburse my tuition if I stayed with them long term after I finish school, benefits, etc.
However, I quickly realized that there was a catch. My "boss" wanted sexual favors. At first he made it seem like these favors weren't NECESSARY, but when I made it clear that I wasn't going to go through with these favors, I basically got told that "well, no one in their right mind would pay someone with no job experience $20 dollars an hour without wanting something out of it." Yeah okay, he was an asshole, couldn't believe I went along with it for a couple months. I blamed it on low self-esteem and low self worth, I'm at a better place now.
I basically cut off all ties with this "boss" and the friend who helped me find this guy. The friend seemed to have always put me in these odd sexual situations prior to this situation and I had enough of it. Anyway, moving on.
About a week or so later, I decided that maybe I can try out webcamming. A friend of mine suggested it, said it wouldn't be too bad, pay was pretty good, why not?
I get contacted by this friend again through email, asking me to unblock him to talk to him about something important regarding myself and him. Curious, I unblock him from skype and we talk. This is where my problem starts.
He claims that, and I quote, "according to federal legislation you should not have been working for more than one person during the course of those types of employments." My old boss (if you can call him that) got a call from the IRS asking if he knew I was working for another company and when he said no, the IRS told them that I was an erotic model on a few cam websites and there might be a tax implication for being under two places of employment at once. The IRS asks them if they want to file a complaint or issue a statement.
I'm new to this whole working and webcamming thing, so I don't really understand exactly...how this whole IRS thing works. I told him that the time I started webcamming and working for this guy did not overlap whatso ever and that the IRS agents can call ME so I can clear everything up.
I need to know how much of what he says holds true. Am I really unable to work under two employments at the same time? I know some girls work camming part time for extra income. Please advise, I'm so confused.
