Newbie needs some new equipment...

Ok, so I've browsed through the hardware/software forum as well as here, and done numerous google searches...I'm lost. Most of the advice I've found is a year or more old anyway. I'm ready to just buy something.

The laptop I have now is a POS. It's an HP Stream, almost no memory, and I'm constantly getting service popups that freeze it. Clearly I need to buy something. My research was pointing me toward a macbook pro - i7 - $2500+. I asked a mac tech friend and he was suggesting a used 2011 macbook, for $1000 or less (but that would be i5 or under). There are also non-mac options, of course, but it seems most camgirls use mac...I'm only looking at doing this occasionally, but I do need a reliable computer, and my tech skills are minimal to none. Pleeeeease help, even if it's only to say what you use!! Thanks

I use a mac, but not nearly the one that cost more than two grand. I paid about $1,000 for my Macbook Pro, and I love it. There are cheaper, new Mac options if you are interested in a Mac. If you haven't had a Mac, there is a bit of a learning curve in the differences between it and a PC. I think your internet speed and cam have a lot more to do with a successful broadcas
