I really like the system Streamate uses for posting their preview pictures of you, in theory. They actually have a countdown icon at the top of the screen that lets you know when you are being photographed for a preview picture. Even with that though, it seems like there is someone on the other side picking out my worst ones, and keeping them up for the whole session.
I've tried everything. One thing I tried is giving them a juicy ass shot every time I see the countdown. They would not use any of those, they just kept the stock photo that I provided them (which is actually better than what they usually do I guess).
A person's first thought would be that they want everyone to look their best, and if they are selecting the photos, they would pick the best looking ones. Clearly that is not what is happening. Then after further thought, it makes sense that they would want to even the playing field. After all, one model can only satisfy a given number of customers at any one time, so why not spread things out a bit?
Its not just Streamate. On other sites it seems like during high traffic times, they picked a really bad preview pic, but during slow periods, they really tried to show me looking my best. At this point, I'm plastering a huge fake smile across my face non-stop no matter what I'm doing. Even then they manage to get some bad pics, but I don't really know what else to do. I swear I'm not paranoid about this. It would be nice to hear other people having similar experiences. What do you do about it? I try not to think about things like the guys coming in for 30 seconds free peeks or wasting my time in free chat, but this has really got me irked. Its like they are messing with me on purpose. Its just business, I get that, but I would definitely like to figure out a way around their system.
