Streaming keeps acting up with my Adobe Live Encoder

Hey everyone , when Im camming on streamate my connection gets cut off during privates every once in a while. It happens to me like once a week at the least. Im not sure if its my labtop , internet connection or modem. I decided to call time warner cable to see if there was a problem & the customer support said everything was working fine at the same time while I was camming. She also told me that my Arris modem gets 20 mbps download speed & 2 mpbs upload speed. My internet package is exactly the same which is 20mbps download speed & 2mbps upload. I was wondering If should upgrade to Time Warners Cable Extreme package which is 30 mbps download speed & 5mbps upload speed ? Should I get a way better modem or is this modem ok ? Im also in the process of tryna pick out the right desktop for me but in the meantime Im using my Acer Aspire 5733Z-4851 labtop - it has a Intel Pentium P6100 processer which is 2.13 ghz - its a dual core processor btw and it has Intel HD Graphics , 4GB of Memory/Ram & a 500 GB Harddrive - could it also be the computer may every once in a while loose the connection with the adobe live encoder ? I noticed it happens quite more often with this 50FT 50 FT RJ45 CAT5 CAT5E Ethernet LAN Network Cable Black Brand New 15M that I bought out Ebay for $3.99 & that it dont happen as much as with the Ethernet cord that Time Warner Cable gave me. And one last thing while Im camming I stream Pandora & other music channels on my tv with this streaming device called a ROKU. I asked the customer support lady about that and she said that Im using the download speed when Im using my ROKU Streaming Device. Not sure if she was right but I hope so.
