What do you use to record your vids? Would you recommend to invest on a good phone or a handycam?

Most of the videos I have made so far have just been edited highlights recorded from my cam shows using webcams. I just hit the record button I know I’ll be doing something worth selling. I used to record whole sessions but it proved to be a nightmare to edit due to files sizes and the sheer amount of boring footage to wade through.
I had been planning on making proper themed vids to sell using my good canon cam but lockdown has put that back for a bit.
And new phone, Logitech webcam or dslr made in the past 5 or 6 years will give you more than adequate quality.
However don’t forget about the lighting. You can get great results with a mediocre camera and good lighting but a pro cam with poor lighting will like look awful,
