Do you use a VPN or another way to hide your IP?

My husband is very paranoid when it comes to internet privacy. I completely understand that someone can figure out the area you live in through your IP, so we have a VPN (virtual private network) service that changes my IP address every time I get online. I was just wondering if anyone else used any type of service or anything that changes or hides their IP, or if it was just me and my husband being super overly paranoid
