K, this is long for amusement/venting purposes but if you skip to the end there's a TLDR.
So, it's been rough since Xpeeps closed. I've mentioned how I was on Myfreecams before and I went back to it since it seemed to have the most earning potential... well, not so. My camscore has gotten f*#@ed beyond belief because Myfreecams kept crashing on me, clearing my room out. It was also likely my fault too, because I was (shhh, secretly) accepting forms of payment for Skype shows other than tokens. At that point I was like, screw it. I was having a serious problem with crashing during private shows that made me want to scream, and since it was costing me money, I felt like that was a reason to do what I needed to make rent. Well.
I have a sneaking suspicion that the lower your camscore gets, the worse your bandwidth allocation is on that site. For reference and public humiliation purposes, my score got into the 400's. I have really good internet but more often than not I freeze, skip, or it rapidly connects-disconnects even when I'm plugged into my router. It got progressively worse the lower my camscore got (and who the hell is going to stick around for those tech issues?) but that may be false causation. I don't know. Anyone else have experience with this? I know it sounds nuts, I could just be paranoid, but I have tech-savvy people telling me it's possible.
So I need to start over and make a new Myfreecams account. Anyone also have experience with this? I've heard they are MUCH more strict about restarts now than they were a while ago, but I'm in an unworkable situation. Obviously if I were making money on there I would stop accepting other forms of payment and play nice... that was my first camming account ever and I didn't know hardly anything so I'd love a chance to do a clean run. I've also considered (paranoiiiid) that I've been caught at offering Skype for giftcards instead of tokens and they'll deny me.
Oh, and before someone says it, I *am* trying to find new sites. I realize Xpeeps was spoiling me but here's a list of sites that haven't worked for me: Adultwork (need a passport to sign up for payment, can't afford one right now) Chaturbate (SO many people doing full shows for free) Camflare (don't get me started) Streamate (still waiting for approval after signing up weeks ago, also hate their ethics.)
