Why you need to pay attention to guests and how to convert them into paying members on a cam site.
The most important thing to understand when it comes to converting guests into members is that every member, whether whale or small time spender, every single one of them, started as a guest.
Let’s cut straight to the chase.
As a cam model on a live cam site, you need to realize what role you play on the site as a model. Think about it this way. The company provides the platform, the media buyers or affiliates bring traffic, financial institutions handle payments, support handles complaints etc. Everyone has a role to play, and without the input of every party, the site wouldn’t be successful.

As an experienced cam model, you’re likely to have gathered a large set of skills when it comes to mind manipulation. So what you should try to do is to turn conversations into a direction which indirectly insinuates an improved experience as a member. Let’s take an example that might happen:

Now, I can already hear you thinking. Oh yea right, I tell members to take me to private all the time, but they don’t care and just continue. Well, firstly, you don’t know what that user did after. But more importantly, it’s about how you bring it up. It shouldn’t sound begging, but rather like a suggestion, while emphasizing the actual value the guest would get as a member.
I know it can be nerve-wrecking to talk to guests, they all seem like losers and time wasters. But in reality, this is normal behavior for new users on the site. They don’t yet understand what a live cam experience is. While you know exactly how things work, that guest might not have a clue. No-one explained to him, that this is a cam website, which requires him to sign up for free, to purchase a credit package, which he can then use to interact with a model in private. It seems obvious to you, but it’s not to everyone.
Which brings me to the last point of this post. As a model, make sure you understand how the cam site works, and how people actually collect credits and spend them on models. Use this knowledge to educate your audience. Also, if you know the site offers free credits to new users, then use that as a way to convince the guest to sign up. Essentially, you need to work on your marketing skills, and do the same as what affiliates do to drive traffic to your rooms for commission.
In short, it’s all about having a positive attitude even to those who seem like a waste of your time. In reality, every guest is a potential whale. The question is only, will you do what it takes to turn him?
