Income tax uk

There's a thing in the UK called citizens advice, I'm thinking of going to them and find more about Tax since now I'm "self-employed"

From what I've found on online (if u are from UK), you register as a sole-trader, do a self assesment online then calculate your earnings and expenses in April every year.

The reason I started is because since we've been in Lockdown, my earnings went down but the cost of living went up lol.
I've seen a lot of replies saying "get an accountant" but I'm not in the position to do that. So are there any other girl that do their taxes themselves?

Even outside UK, what do you class as expenses? How much of your income from modelling do you set aside for tax?

Oh, i own a LLC company in Romania , i have an accountant and a lawyer( that i meet each year). Most of the paper work i do it myself. After i pay my taxes and dividends as company i go to file for me the person that gets the money to pay 5% for healthcare and another 10% taxes on the money i get from my company. My company's occupational code is streaming and IT activities so you can imagine i can not deduct much money(in Romania they deduct only the VAT from the product/service i buy that must be related to my job). I m not self employed but i have signing right in my company, i plan to be self employed too but there is a conflict of intrerest as i would be my very own empoyer. I learned a lot from making invoice and representing myself in front of authorities and banks , belive me i know girls that didnt know how to talk to bankers when they made a bank account..... As far UK i think there other simpler ways to pay your taxes based on income.
Each month i get money from sites i put aside 10% just in case, i am pretty tight on my budget because even if i earn the money if i m getting checked by national financial authority technically the money aren t mine but of the company.
Ladies, i know , no one wants to pay taxes but i really think of what is going to be when i ll be old, i really want to have a pension, by then i ll work to have a roof of my own above my head and it doesn t matter if it s going to be just 1 room. Also always declare your money...always.
