I follow soooo many burlesque performers and strippers on my personal Instagram, along with a few of my favorite camgirls.
The other day, one of said burlesque performers posted a clip of one of her performances with a group of girls, and she refered to herself as "plus sized". I always viewed her as slim (not that it matters really), so I was surprised to hear her refering to herself as that. That in turn lead me to wonder how to categorize myself. Actually, this question came up already when I started signing back up to camsites again and got asked my bodyshape, but I guess I kind of dismissed it and went on my merry way.
When I first tried camming in 2011, I was petite. Actually I have been most of my life so that was easy. Then I moved back to Europe and put on some weight. The years following that, due to stress and a less than ideal situation, I put on some more weight and now here we are. I am definitely not petite anymore but I am struggling to figure out where else I belong now.
To end my ramblings; at what point are you considered plus sized or a bbw? I know I am at the very least chubby, if not even fat by Japanese standards (I'm in Japan at the moment) to the point where I can barely fit my butt into a pair of XL shorts at the store, then again; Japanese clothing are infamously small on westerners so that doesn't seem like a fair comparison.
Finally, I have been incredibly clumpsy at expressing myself lately so I sincerely hope that noone is insulted by me asking this question, I am just thinking outloud and wondering if I should add those categories to my profiles as well or leave them be.
