Facial Recognition in our line of work. Isn't that scary ? What do you think about it?
I was kinda hit in the face by the reality when I stumbled across a vice article stating how a girl discovered a guy on tinder stole an identity (and was not who he said he was). Long story short, there were a few face recognition sites she used. I decided to try them and see what I can find on myself. On 2 of them I was safe, nothing poited to my sex work. On the third one togh, when I added a normal selfie (nothing i used on my sex work) it pointed out to some of my sex work. I tried a diffrent pic with diffrent hair colour, older. Still managed to show results of my sex work.
What scares me it is not beeing outed (evan tough this is a big issue, not only for our line of work but strippers, escorts ) BUT what scares me a lot is the fact that soon it might point out to my real persona info (real me social media - i do not have pics of myself but there are pics of me in other peoples albums).
Another big issue is that free wankers and all the people that steal our stuff...will get evan more traffic... Afterall you can find everything about that performer with just one pic of her face? All over THE WEB.
I reported some of the search results & will see if they care enough to eliminate BUT my question is: how many of these will exist in the future? I feel attacked, I feel like I can be controlled, no freedom. That is why this whole facial recogn has been postponed for the public (it is used by police &so), it can cause a shit ton of harm.
Again, I am not scared much about beeing outed but more like for security reasons, members finding out your name, tryin to contact you and shit like that.
What is your opinion on that ?
